I firmly subscribe to the advice that if you want to write (which I do), you should read. So I read. A lot.
The Girl In The Painting by Renita D’Silva.
The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary. Five stars.
Suddenly Single by Carol Wyer.
The Summer Of Chasing Dreams by Holly Matin. Five stars.
My Sister’s Lies by S D Robertson.
Jolly Good Food by Allegra McEvedy.
A Summer Of New Beginnings by Lisa Hobman.
The Man I Fell In Love With by Kate Field.
Don’t You Forget About Me by Mhairi McFarlane. Five stars.
Bad At Love by Karina Halle. Five stars.
Lost For Words by Stephanie Butland. Five stars.
The Truths And Triumphs Of Grace Atherton by Anstey Harris.
The Winter That Made Us by Kate Field. Five stars.
A note about my rating system.
All my reviews are rated out of five stars. Time is short so I generally pick books I know I will have a fair chance of liking, normally in my favourite genre (under the broad heading of romantic fiction). I will always try to find the positives and be constructive with any criticism. I don’t post reviews of anything I rate under three stars.
