Sorry for the lack of posts this week but I have exciting news; I have a new job! I’m going to be working part time for philosophy professor (and Extinction Rebellion spokesperson) Rupert Read at the University of East Anglia as his researcher until the end of July. It’s a little bit different from what I’m used to but I realised journalism gave me a lot of transferrable skills – and I’m looking forward to making use of them.
Anyway, Freya had to pick up her new glasses on Wednesday night and we started our journey home from the city as the sun was setting. There was no way we couldn’t stop – and we weren’t the only ones. There were several people up at Mousehold Heath with their phones pointed at the sky. Sorry if you follow me in Instagram and have already seen them, I couldn’t wait to share.
Please come back tomorrow when I have another Behind The Book post for you, this time with historical fiction writer Juliette Lawson, who has a new book, A Borrowed Past, out now.
I have a painting of this view on my walls
