If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen that I had an overnight stay in London with my friend Emma this week. It was a very exciting break from the norm for me and my camera, even if it was a bit dull and rainy.
We stayed near King’s Cross and all of these photos are from around that area, mostly Coal Drops Yard. There is so much development going on, it seems to be really buzzing.
The featured image above is actually a nighttime shot of a moving train reflected in the canal taken on my iPhone. It was a bit too blurry so I had a play with the Prisma app and quite like it now.
The next photo was at a very popular spot for Instagrammers. It’s in celebration of the Chinese New Year and, apparently, if you find the right angle it clearly says 2020 in yellow but this was as good as I could get.
I managed to take 172 photos over the two days so my camera got quite the work out.

What fun. Chinese new year is celebrated here too, mostly with family dinners with traditional red pocket envelopes.

I saw on instagram that I needed to go high up to see it rather than low down. It was fun trying to get it to work though. Hope you’re ok.

Yes. We are doing well. Happy at the new location. Although it means travelling further for work. Are you enjoying your own time now that Freya is on school?
