I was lucky enough to win a family ticket to Tribe Norfolk last Saturday.

As it wasn’t really Mark’s cup of tea, Freya and I went with my running buddy. Set in the beautiful grounds of Happy Valley Norfolk , this family festival, now in its second year, is aimed at showcasing “a range of local food, fashion, wellness, family and creative businesses plus the best bands and musicians in the county”.

It more than lived up to expectations.

We started off with face painting, moved on to crown-making, looked around all the wonderful stalls, did some pirate themed yoga, had a cheese toastie for lunch while sat on straw bales listening to music. Then I had booked Freya in for a pottery taster session.

This was her highlight (along with being painted as a unicorn/kitten combo). Her smile was huge when she sat at the wheel. She loves nothing better than getting messy so it was right up her street.

Not content with making a pot, she decided she wanted to make a cup. The wonderful Clare from Wayside Pottery was so patient with her.

Here’s what it looks like now she’s decorated it.

We had a really lovely day out. The atmosphere was great, there was plenty to do and the weather was perfect for me.

With thanks to Dilan And Me for the tickets, which I won via an Instagram comp.
