Just as the weather took a turn for the better both Freya and I came down with a bug. Typical!
Freya doesn’t really understand the concept of being ill and despite my repeated attempts to get her to rest, especially when she had a fever, she could manage it for about a minute before she wanted to do something. All I wanted to do was lie on the sofa but, of course, parents don’t get sick days.
I was beginning to suspect she wasn’t all that poorly when she put herself down for a nap on Friday afternoon, which is almost unheard of. I wouldn’t generally take a photo of her when she’s poorly but she was bathed in a gentle light from the window and looked so peaceful, I couldn’t resist. I’m happy to report she’s back to her old self again now.

You know they are poorly if they voluntarily sleep! I’m glad you’re both feeling better now, is rotten being ill. #MySundayPhoto

Exactly! Although I suspect she was not quite as ill as she made out.

Hi Tara, sitting and watching the children when they slept was something I enjoyed doing (when they were small). We get to see them in a different light (literally in Freya’s case). It’s a lovely photo and I like the b&w effect. I hope you are both well now.
