There are not many older buildings left along Norwich’s Riverside now – they’ve mostly been replaced by spangly new apartments – but I think these ones give it some character.

Oh wow, what would that have been once upon a time? An old maltings or something? Certainly makes it look like a working river. A little more eye catching that new apartments too.

I’m not sure, John. The one on the right side is Norwich Waterfront, which is a music venue but the bigger one has an old sign that says furniture restoration.

I love the reflections there. This reminds me a bit of the river at Tewkesbury near us.

I remember working in an old warehouse like this by the Aylesbury canal as a teen, I immediately thought of that time when I saw this.

These two are recognisable from my childhood but the whole of the rest of the area has changed (there even used to be a road on the other side of the river where the shops and houses are now) great picture, love the reflections

Hi Tara, I remember when Exeter Riverside was full of old buildings. It’s a shame everything has to be ‘modernised’. I love the reflection in the water

I love the colours and textures. Definitely adds character. New builds have a habit of looking rather uniform sometimes.
