Apologies if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook and have already seen this photo but I couldn’t resist posting it here too so I have a record of it.
This is Freya and her “magic ring”. Apparently if you make a wish on it at sunrise it comes true. Her wish was for pizza for tea (if only they were all that easy). I got her a little pizza but I wasn’t sure if she would be able to eat it after receiving a call from the school to say she had face planted on concrete and had a fat lip and a grazed chin. Fortunately her need for pizza was strong (she takes after her dad) and despite her sore mouth she managed to eat it. In fact, whereas I would have milked the injury for all its worth, she hasn’t made a bit of fuss (even insisting on going back to school the next day).

Also, if you have an interest in writing or reading, please pop back tomorrow when I have a fabulous Behind The Book interview with another of my favourite authors, Carla Burgess. She even gives us a peek at her first ever book (it’s adorable, you won’t want to miss it).
Wishing you a great week.
I think I need this ring. Although you can keep the fat lip and grazed chin. Fantastic image and I love the silhouette effect.

What a beautiful photo! I’m glad her wish came true and sorry to hear about the accident. Credit to her for going back to school the next day. My son had to have two days off after being set home after a nasty rugby tackle.

I loved this photo when I saw it on your Instagram and it’s the perfect choice for your Sunday photo. Love the silhouette of Freya wishing on her ring against the beautiful colours of that sunrise. Well done to her for not making a fuss over her injury and hope she is all healed now x
