My mum and dad came to visit on Thursday and we celebrated my mum’s birthday with a walk in Foxley Wood.
Freya insisted on wearing her party dress and matching coat. As you can see she is up to her knees in mud and loving it (thankfully the compromise was that she wear boots and not party shoes).
We will be heading back to Foxley Wood when the bluebells come out in a couple of weeks.

Wishing you a great week ahead.
Loving the middle photo. We were on the beach in Calais earlier this week and we developed a game where the kids sank into the sand up to their ankles. Looks like Freya is doing similar!

Yes, very similar. I had a day trip to Calais when I was 17 (my first trip abroad) but it was marred by the awful hovercraft ride over (huge swells). I hope your trip was much better.

Oh she reminds me of me when I was a little girl, always up to my knees in a muddy puddle. #mysundayphoto

She really loves mud but also pretty dresses, ideally in pink. I think she has a good balance. Hehe 🙂

As you were celebrating a birthday it was only right to wear a party frock, I trust the rest of you did too!

Happy Birthday to your mum. I wonder what it is about mud that kids love so much. Her dress looks like it got away by the skin of its hem 🙂
