We had a day out at the seaside with my parents on Thursday and when we stopped for lunch Freya was given a balloon to play with. She took it with her to a window seat overlooking the sea and decided to have a little lay down (oh, to be three again).
I thought this one had a touch of whimsy.
I’ve tried all sorts of tinkering with it (via Fotor)….
…but sort of like it best as is it.
Hope you’ve had a good week.

Ha ha, sometimes the best pics don’t require a filter. That said, I do quite like the first one. Looks better with colour. #MySundayPhoto

Thank you, John. It’s funny isn’t it? I just felt it needed something…more but then nothing seemed to work.

Such a lovely photo, definitely whimsical. I too play around with filters but I always love the original photo most. I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m old-fashioned when it comes to photos and I prefer them to depict real life?

I agree with you. I like the occasional tinker but usually just go for the natural one.

Thank you! As she/we haven’t been sleeping well I would have loved a little stretch out on that window seat (although not sure the people eating their food nearby would have enjoyed it as much) 🙂 Hope you’ve had a great weekend.

We have spent the weekend driving miles to buy the boys new fencing kit and then today taking them shooting! How about you?

What were you shooting? Freya has a monster cold, which I feel like I’m getting, so we’ve mainly been indoors, with little breaks for fresh air so I don’t go crazy 🙂

I was wondering what she was thinking about as she gazed up at it (probably how lucky she was to get a balloon as I HATE balloons :))

I like the last black and white one, it focuses on the motion and shape. Such a creative image. #mysundayphoto

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I really liked the shape of the ribbon the balloon is tied with. I considered cropping her body out but then just left it alone.

My little one is three and sometimes I’d give anything to swap places! Imagine if we just decided to have a little lie down with a balloon – we’d be called a tad weird. Stunning characterful pic x #MySundayPhoto

I love that photo. It shows the simplicity and innocence of being 3. And you’re right, to be that age and carefree would be lovely, if only for 5 minutes. Great capture Tara. #mysundayphoto
