My Sunday Photo – Week 41.

img_8828

We decided to explore Beccles on the Norfolk/Suffolk border yesterday, which included a trip up the 122 steps to the top of the bell tower, built in 1515, for some amazing views over the surrounding area.

Apparently on a clear day you can see Norwich 20 miles away but yesterday started a bit misty and it was still burning off when we were there. I loved seeing the changing colours of the trees.

Speaking of autumnal colours, as we wandered through the market town’s pretty streets doing a bit of window shopping I spotted this wall. I could have stayed and happily snapped away for the rest of the day but I don’t think Mark and Freya would have been as keen.

I also found a lovely gate for Freya to stand against (what blogger doesn’t love a good wall, gate, door?).

  1. Fabulous photos. The colours of those leaves are incredible. I can imagine wanting to photograph them myself (I can also imagine my family nagging me to hurry up!).

  2. Hi Tara, what lovely photos. I bet the view across to Norfolk is quite something on a clear day. I can see why that gate attracted your attention too; it’s perfect for a backdrop and makes Freya look so tiny.

  3. You’re right Tara I do have a thing about walls and gates. I’m hoping that my next home has a walled garden. We sort of have a little one here as this property has granite old barns. We also have a Virginia Creeper climbing one of the garage walls. The creeper has amazing colours and you’ve captured it beautifully.
    Have a great week 😀
