“Why does a flower bloom?” Was the first toddler question of the day on Friday.
I left Mark explaining about bees and pollen while I went to get dressed, wondering what answer I would have given. I did a bit of Google research afterwards, just in case it came up again.
I hadn’t realised quite how bright the light was in our living room when I took this photo. It makes my eyes hurt a bit if I look at it for too long.
I do like the shadows though so thought maybe it would be better in B&W but it seems such a shame not to enjoy the colour.
What do you think?
Wishing you a lovely week.
Loe the contrast between the two. Colour looks great, but B&W adds a different perspective.

Thank you, I still can’t decide if I like it in B&W.

Wow, what a lovely question to ask! A photo of a flower just has to be in colour because the colour is such a significant part of the flower.

The questions are certainly getting harder, I think Google is going to become my bestfriend 🙂

These flowers have a particular significance for our family. My sister had them in her wedding bouquet, and she always had them in the house, and when her husband passed away last year they were the flower that we all wore. They just have a way of lifting the mood, making me smile and help me to remember the good times. Lovely photo. Thanks for sharing #MySundayPhoto

I’m so pleased they make you smile, it’s funny how a flower or even a smell Can bring back memories. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

You know how much I love black and white but definitely has to be colour for me with this one – the stark contrast against the white background is great.

Thanks Haylee. The colour one is almost too bright for me. Maybe I’ll tinker with it 🙂

What beautiful photos Tara. I think the shadows work on them both but I much prefer the richness to the colours in the first one – and the shadow adds another element to it. #MySundayPhoto

I love both versions – the colour is so vibrant but the black and white version really highlights the shadow of the daisy 🙂
