My Sunday Photo – week 9.

Norwichgrunge

#MySundayPhoto this week is the view of Norwich from Mousehold Heath, which is opposite the city’s prison.

The sky was really dull so I’ve used Snapseed’s grunge filter which I think actually helps highlight many of the sights, including both the cathedrals (middle and back right), the castle on the left and city hall clock (just to the left of the cathedral).

The popular viewing point is part of a site that covers more than 80 hectares and is mainly heath and woodland. It’s home to a number of rare insects, including a lot of butterflies (which is why it’s one of my favourite places).

Here’s the normal version:

  1. That’s a fantastic view and it does seem to work better with the filter. I very rarely use them unless I want to make something black and white or blur someone’s face out!
