11 Things (and maybe a couple of others too).

11thingsFirstly, WordPress Reader has been unfollowing people again, argh! If you’ve noticed me unfollow and then re-follow, sorry! I really must ask them about it.

Secondly, I have lots of ideas for posts stacking up but just haven’t found time to write them. The good news is I’ve written a second (hopefully much better) draft of the first chapter of The Book Before 40 AND started on chapter two as well as doing lots of lovely freelancing. Words, words and more words. Perfect.

Thirdly, the lovely Jenni has tagged me to play 11 Things. I’ve said before that I love posts like this, mainly because, as a journalist, it’s me usually asking the questions rather than answering them.

The rules:
1) Always post these rules.
2) Answer the questions given by the person who tagged you.
3) Write 11 new questions
4) Tag 11 blogs.

You can read Jenni’s answers here and here are mine:
If you could meet anyone living or dead who would it be? This is a tough one. There are so many people I would love to interview. For the purposes of this I’ll say Emily Bronte.

What superpower would you like and why? I’d like to fly so I wouldn’t have to use lifts or go on planes.

Who would you pick to play you in the movie of your life? Felicia Day, for no reason than I think she’s brilliant.

What is your happiest memory? I’m lucky to have so many happy memories, it’s difficult to pick just one. One that sticks out today is hearing my toddler nephew on my answering machine saying: “I luff you, Tra” (he couldn’t say Tara) only because I FaceTimed him (in America) today and he is now taller than my brother with the deepest voice you ever heard. Where has that little boy gone?

What is your favourite day of the week? I like Saturday because we usually get some family time together.

Which animal do you think you are most like? and why? Probably one of those whales that just cruise along with their mouths open eating all the food. I like to swim too.

White, Milk or Dark Chocolate? Yes please.

If you could time travel would you go into the past or the future? Past.

What did you want to be when you grew up? From the age of nine I wanted to be a journalist (initially it was a vet until I realised how much education was involved or an astronaut until I realised you needed a good grade in maths).

What was the last dream that you had? I’m sure I must be dreaming but because I’m still up so much with Freya I can’t really remember any of them. I used to have such vivid dreams too.

What do you love most about yourself? Hmm, my imagination.

My questions for you (yes, you).
If you were a character in a novel how would the author describe you in one sentence?

If  you’re feeling down what one thing is guaranteed to cheer you up?

Is there a country you’ve longed to visit but never have?

Are you superstitious? Of what?

Do you like your name? Have you ever wanted to be called something else?

If you had the choice between a top chef cooking you a meal and your favourite musical artist performing just for you which would you go for and why?

Would you change anything about your blog if you could?

Most recent book you have read.

What quality do you value most in a person?

Do you have a favourite room in your house? Which one and why?

What’s the first thing you see when you wake up?

I can hear those of you who have read this far groaning “Please, please don’t tag me.” 🙂 I know these type of posts are not everyone’s cup of tea so if you want to play consider yourself tagged. Please let me know in the comments if you do it and I’ll link you.

Thank you again, Jenni.

Update: Thank you to BattleMum and NewshoundNovelist who have signed up to the challenge!

  1. I love learning more about people I follow through these types of posts! I’ll play along hun. I’ll try get something drafted this weekend but promise to do it early this week. I have family staying so blogging has been difficult ☺
PS great idea to “invite” people to play along, might do the same!

      1. To link it? While you’re in your editor there is a symbol that looks like a paperclip with a line in the middle which is “insert/edit link”. If you select the text you want to link (like your blog name above) click that button and copy the link into the box it works its magic and will appear 🙂
