We have a bush, which I am reliably informed is a gardenia, outside our communal front door which erupts into glorious bloom at this time of year.
The sad thing is that you only have to brush by it and the flowers fall off and with so much footfall in and out of the flats they end up trampled on the path.
I decided to try and capture one before they all fall to their doom. The one above doesn’t have anything done to it and I like its natural beauty. The one below has the craft paper effect from Fotor on it along with a colour enhance but I think it’s a bit too bright, although quite like the scratchiness.
To see what other people have been snapping this week please visit the #MySundayPhoto link hosted by One Dad 3 Girls, who has a fab new look website too.
Gorgeous bloom but I know what you mean about them falling. We used to have a few in our garden in Melbourne and I took to taking some inside and floating them in a glass dish. They looked great.
I’ve planted two new bushes here in Scotland and they appear to be growing. Not sure I’ll get any blooms this year though.
Great photos and editing.
Enjoy your Sunday

It is so sad to see them on the ground isn’t it? What you do sounds like a fab way to celebrate them. Maybe I can gather them all up another year. I really hope you get some blooms, if not this year then next. Thanks for commenting.

Beautiful colour, so vivid! It’s so sad how delicate they are, they don’t last very long here either because of the costal winds. We have to make the most of them while they are here x
