I use the WordPress Reader as an easy way to follow blogs I like but I’ve noticed that it keeps unfollowing people at will. Has anyone else experienced this?
I keep thinking: “Hmm, I haven’t seem a post from <insert name> in a while! I wonder if they are ok?” And when I go and look they have been posting every day but the reader has unfollowed them for some reason. What am I doing wrong?
Sorry for the lack of updates, I’m writing lots of words, unfortunatly (or fortunately depending on your point of view) they are not here. Hopefully that will change soon but I am reading…when the reader lets me!
Any help appreciated. Also, if you notice me re-following you over and over this is the reason why.

Keeping up with all this technology takes some work, I didn’t even realise I could ‘follow’ people on here until I got a follow off you! 🙂 Still can’t believe how so many platforms are still so buggy! Bloglovin’ is irritating me at the moment…but thats a whole other post! I’ll keep my eye on this reader now and let you know how it goes, and if it unfollows 🙂

I agree on bloglovin i hate the new set up! My photos don’t show and they still haven’t introduced a ‘follows you’ bit that would be most helpful! Stevie ☺

Ahh you’ve updated to your own domain? Right just added you and had a look. Right go into your dashboard>settings>reading and where it says ‘For each article in a feed, show’ make sure you have ‘Full Text’ selected.
When you make a new post it should show an image with it. Unfortunately it won’t fix previous posts

I’ve had that happen before in the past. My reader also seems ghostly quiet since last night. My apps seem to have updated so I’m wondering if there’s a glitch, all a bit odd!

At least it’s not just me then. I was getting quite cross with it but I can’t find anyone else having similar problems (via a Google search). Maybe I will email them. Thank you 🙂

This has happened to me once or twice. And I’ve also found the reader doesn’t seem to update that well – I often see the same posts and if I check individual blogs that are silent according to the reader, they have actually been posting. Most annoying. I’ve just moved to WP.org and since have had about 5/6 WP reader followers re-follow me, so wonder if it’s happened to me, and if it’s anything to do with moving? That’s the only theory I can think of, but am most unequipped to offer any informed information!

Thanks Yvette. It sounds like it might have happened to you too. I’m going to email WordPress and ask now I know it isn’t just me so I’ll let you know if I find out any more.

This doesn’t happen to me that 8 be noticed but it doesn’t show that I’m following some people in my reader but says fill owing in the black bar when I go to their site! Stevie ☺
