I liked this for two reasons; firstly it is rare to have a photo that doesn’t have Freya in it and secondly I like that you can see the historic church opposite reflected in the modern glass.
This is The Forum in Norwich which was opened in 2001. It houses, among other things, the Millennium Library. It was quite controversial because, on first look, the design is not in keeping with the rest of the area but features such as the mass of glass, which frames the church opposite rather than diverts from it, make it fit in really well – or at least I think so.
Here is the rest of it:
As Freya is always up early we took the opportunity to go into the city before many people were about so I could take some photos. The light wasn’t good for my limited skills but the clouds were nice. The first is the Church of St Peter Mancroft, which is what is reflected in the glass of The Forum, and the second is the Royal Arcade which is a glorious art nouveau shopping avenue.
And lastly, the colourful tops of the market stalls.
